When we first became involved with Ann Link’s Eco House project in Lewes, which has subsequently won an Eco Award, we suggested two alternatives for the timber to be used for the windows, doors and sunspace. The first was Laminated Sweet Chestnut from Inwood Developments and secondly Accoya which matches the best tropical hardwoods for strength and durability yet comes from a fast grown sustainable pine. Ann and her partner Richard selected Sweet Chestnut as it was locally grown and they particularly liked the colour and finger jointing. Read more ………
